My name is Tatiana and I am a 28 years old Italian from Rome, although I am currently living and working in Boulder, Colorado (USA) as a Photographer's Personal Assistant.
I have always loved working with children, teaching them all I know about Art, English, Italian language etc., but also to help them realize their full potential and at the same time learning everything from them as well. In addition to the formal help I can provide, I feel I would be able to give them what some people, nowadays, take for granted: unconditional Love. I have a passion and deep love for helping children and this is why, on June 2015, I decided to leave the US (where I have been living and working as a nanny for a 15 years old boy, and as a private Italian language tutor in Washington D.C. and in Boulder, Colorado) and I became a volunteer in Trujillo and in Huanchaco (Peru). In Trujillo I worked with a primary school as an English teacher for kids aged from 6 to 11 years old. In addition to my official work with the school, I also have been providing private English and Italian classes to local kids, teenagers and adults. I see my job there as more than just a teacher, I have helped the school deal with bullying problems, and have also consoled and intervened with students who have been subjected to domestic violence within their home. I always considered my compassion and love for them as one of my greatest responsibilities in addition to my formal role as their teacher. After leaving the first NGO, I have been working with another organization, called NAFE: I worked as a nanny and as a generic teacher (I have been teaching English, Math, Art, etc.), but mainly my job was to take care of kids after the school time. After my life changing experience as a volunteer, I decided to leave Peru and to become an Au Pair in Austria: I decided that this is what I wanted to do in my life, to be able to work with kids professionally (I am planning to apply for the Montessori Training Course, but for now I am willing to help families taking care of their kids). On October 2015 I arrived in Austria and I met an amazing family that loved me unconditionally and made me feel like I have always been there with them: they have two children, a boy and a girl (Jakob and Magdalena, now 6 and 4 year old), and since the first moment we met, it was love at first sight.
